TEL HI Boosts Staff Education with Annual Scholarship

The San Francisco Nonprofit, TEL HI Encourages Staff to Advance Their Education by Providing an Education Assistance Scholarship Yearly
TEL HI is committed to fostering an environment that encourages learning and professional development. By supporting its employees’ educational pursuits, TEL HI enhances their individual growth and strengthens the overall quality of service they provide to the community. One key initiative that exemplifies this commitment is the TEL HI Education Assistance Scholarship.
The scholarship was established in 2019 by generous TEL HI supporters who recognized the value of investing in TEL HI’s employees’ futures. The scholarship aims to allow staff to advance their education or pursue degrees related to their current or future roles within the organization. Since its establishment, TEL HI has proudly awarded more than $30,000 in scholarships to its employees.
The scholarship is a wonderful opportunity for TEL HI employees who are considering returning to school to complete a bachelor’s degree, pursue a master’s degree, or explore accredited certificate courses that align with their job and education goals.
This year’s scholarship was awarded to Nohemi Romero, Family Partnership Coordinator for the TEL HI Beacon at Francisco Middle School. Nohemi plans to use the scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in social work at San Francisco State University.
“I felt so grateful and supported when I received this scholarship,” said Nohemi Romero. “The money will help reduce my stress about tuition costs and help me pay for materials. I will use part of the scholarship to pay for my summer and fall classes.”
Nohemi’s dedication to her work and passion for helping others make her a perfect recipient of this award.
