You’re Invited: TEL HI’s 40th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner!

TEL HI’s Annual Thanksgiving Dinner, now in its 40th year, had very humble beginnings. Starting from a simple seniors’ potluck where they shared meals cooked from their homes, to Hilton Hotel’s sponsorship of up to 400 turkey dinners, to Pier 2620 Hotel’s contribution of over 700 turkey dinners, TEL HI’s Thanksgiving Dinner has become a North Beach tradition that everyone in the community looks forward to. Year after year, the residents of North Beach and its neighboring communities gather at TEL HI’s Annual Community Dinner to exchange smiles, goodwill and enjoy each other’s company.
This year, TEL HI has partnered with North Beach Neighbors (NBN), San Francisco SAFE, and SFPD Central Station. The theme will be “Safety During the Holidays.” SF SAFE will be sharing valuable holiday safety tips, including how businesses and individuals can protect themselves against seasonal nuisances that become prevalent during the holidays and Captain Yep and officers from Central Station will be guest servers! It’s expected to be a fantastic and tummy-filling evening packed with a delicious sit-down dinner, live entertainment and an amazing crowd.
The success of this event has been in part due to our wonderful community partners who have supported this dinner over the years. Partners like North Beach Business Association who continues to be an essential sponsor during this special community event.

TEL HI’s Community Holiday Dinner will be held in TEL HI’s Gymnasium on Thursday, November 15, 2018. There will be two seatings: one at 5pm, primarily for TEL HI program participants and their families; and the other at 6pm for the whole community.
